Harvesting

Harvesting cannabis properly is an essential part of the cultivation process and can influence the quality of your crop. When harvesting cannabis indoors, there are a few key steps that you should take to ensure that it is done correctly and yields the best results.

  1. Start by observing your plants: Check for the ripeness of the buds and whether they have reached their maximum development potential. This is usually signified by the colour of the pistils, which will turn red/brown and become less sticky over time.

  2. Cut off each individual bud: It is best to cut off each individual bud one at a time as opposed to cutting down entire branches; this ensures that none of the flowers get damaged in the process!

  3. Dry & cure your harvest: Once harvested, cannabis needs to be dried & cured in order for it to smoke/use properly. Hang it up in an environment with good air circulation for about 4-7 days (or until dry). Once dry, place them into glass jars & store them at room temperature out of direct sunlight for 1-2 weeks (this step helps preserve aroma & flavour).

  4. Trim & manicure your harvest: After curing, trim away any larger fan leaves or any remaining stems from each bud; this makes sure that they’re ready for consumption without any unsightly bits attached! Depending on how precise you want it, trimming can also be done with scissors or other tools like a trimmer if you have one available!

  5. Enjoy! Now that everything has been taken care of, you can start enjoying your harvest once all steps have been completed successfully! Enjoy responsibly :)
